Southern Response Compensation Claims

If you settled your earthquake damage claim with Southern Response before 1 October 2014, you are likely to have been underpaid by approximately 20%; and be entitled to a further payment from Southern Response of approximately 20% plus interest.

Anthony Harper is providing legal services for a fixed fee of $2,500 plus GST, under their terms of engagement. Southern Response will reimburse you for $2,000 of that fee, the net cost to you, once you receive the reimbursement, will be just $875. There is no fee if you are not eligible.

Step 1. Claim Details

Email sr@ah.co.nz, and include the following documents if you have them:

• Settlement Agreement with Southern Response; and

• Arrow International's final costed Details Repair/Rebuild Analysis (DRA).

Step 2. Legal Advice

Anthony Harper will provide you with legal advice on your claim against Southern Response. The claim is against Southern Response arising from its misleading and deceptive conduct where it provided you with an incomplete DRA on which your settlement was based. We will:

• Manage your claim – from registration to payment by Southern Response to you

• Advise on your right to claim outside the compensation package

• Calculate what is owed to you under the compensation package, and check Southern Response's calculations

• Advise you on the effect of Southern Response's requirement you sign a new Settlement Agreement, and advise on the terms of the Agreement

• Answer any queries you have about your options, the compensation package and the settlement.

Step 3. Settlement

With your authorisation, Anthony Harper will submit a claim on your behalf to Southern Response. Anthony Harper will invoice* you on settlement of your claim against Southern Response.
